Shuttle bus cost from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral?
Can anyone tell me what the cost is to take the shuttle from the Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral? Also, about how far is it from the airport to the port?
libragirl,
I believe that carnival charges $50 per person for the bus transfer.
I have checked with legacy limos and the cost for a 4person limo is
$175 plus a 20%gratuity so if u have 4 people it comes out to 56.25
per person and u don't have to wait for the bus to fill up to leave.
any other questions feel free to e-mail me as we were on the glory
in nov. of 2003 and will be on her again in nov. 11,2006
The cost for the bus from the airport is $25 each way. If you take a taxi, it will cost you over $50. The bus runs every 30-40 minutes and it takes appx. 45 minutes to get to the port. Hope this helps!
Dolphin, do you mean the Carnival chartered bus? Or did you use another busline?

Carnival has a shuttle service that leaves out of the airport in Orlando (I work for them on the weekends) The first bus usually leaves around 10:30am and the last around 2:30pm. The cost is $25 each way. Not a bad deal since it costs over $150 for a cab!

Are these shuttles available for pre cruise transportation? We will be arriving on Sunday for a cruise on Monday. What's the best way to get to our hotel in Port Canaveral?

Yes. We have alot of people who fly into Orlando and stay a few days before their trip. If your flying into Orlando and your hotel is near the port, I would call them to see if they have transportation to and from the port. You could get there by the Carnival Shuttle bus and then have them pick you up at the port or if its close enough, take a taxi.

libragirl,
failed to say that the $175 plus 20% gratuity is the round trip cost with legacy limos. the one thing really nice about it is that when you're ready
to go you can leave and not have to wait for the shuttle bus to fill up.
and they are waiting for you at baggage claim
True Mike! The shuttle buses do go out about every 30-40 minutes however and there are people from Mears to "Meet & Greet" on Thursdays and Weekends (it's what I do for fun on the weekened :-) to direct people) $25 sure beats $170!!! Hope this helps!

We went out of Port Canaveral in April. We rented a car from Hertz at the airport and dropped it off at their location in Port Canaveral. Hertz has a shuttle bus that takes you to the ship for free (plus tipping the driver). The cost of the rental car for 1 day was $45. Much cheaper then the shuttle bus prices per person.
When the ship gets back to Port Canaveral the Hertz van comes and pickes you up and takes you back to their location and you can pick up another rental car and drive it back to the airport.
