hallo every one we will go with the carnival freedom make a mediterenian cruise in juli next year can we pay in dolllars on board and on the shores and can someone tell me is it wise too go 6b cabin.

Hi arie,

We knew you'd get "hooked" on cruising! From looking at the deck plans, a 6B would be fine IMO, unless it's one of the forward cabins. There is usually more movement forward. If this doesn't bother you, great !

On the ship you can use your credit card when you board to pay your Sign & Sail or you can deposit cash (dollars) when you board for all your onboard expenses, including ship sponsored Shore Excursions.

At the ports in the Med I think you will need to change your $$ to the local currency for shopping or non-ship excursions.

just back from liberty med & will book freedom for next year ,after your deposit against your sail card the only u.s.dollars you can spend are for postage ,extra tips if you prepaid gratuities,& coins for the laundromat.
you must have euros for all the med ports ,they would not take u.s.currency anywhere.the atm on board would only issue u.s.dollars which you then had to get changed to euros & pay another commission .go to the atms in italy called bancomat the screen gives a choice of language & pays you euros
