Any suggestions on finding the best deal for a summer cruise (Caribbean)? Would there still be deals for 2007, or should I be looking at 2008? I know summer's obviously one of the peak seasons, but any tips would be greatly appreciated. We returned from our first cruise a few weeks ago, but after doing some more research, I think we could have gotten a better deal on it. Thanks in advance.
Use "Cruisecompete.com" and tell them exactly what you are looking for, then wait for a few days while the great deals come in! If you're former military, or a senior, tell them that you qualify for these possible discounts. If you're flexable at all on the dates, let them know that as well. I've been cruising for 40+ years, and have gotten better deals in the past few than I ever got before, simply because of CruiseMates, and being informed by the great people here!
Good luck, and I'll see you aboard.
Military Discounts are great but are restricted to certain ships & dates.....
We paid $219 each for a 5 day on the Celebration. (plus gov. taxes)....
We also got the military discount on the Conquest last cruise.... You have to have served active duty at least 2 years to qualify & takes a week to get it done....
