I am Barbara (41 yrs),work for a newspaper publisher in Holland and living together with my friend André.
My mother's name is Sally(61 yrs)and she is retired. We (mum an me)are first time cruisers on the Triumph to te Western Carribbean on sept. 2th. That is in less than 5 weeks!!!
We are soooooo exited about going!! We are from the Netherlands so we have to fly to Miami the day before the cruise and stay in a hotel near the airport. André is staying home and is happy he doesn't have to come with us, he doesn't know what he is missing!!!
Me and André have been to Amerika 2 times in 2004 and 2005. Did the "best of the West", Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Las Vegas, Brice C, Zion and Highway 1 and back to San Francisco in 2004.
Flew to Denver in 2005, drove to Utah, down to New Mexico, up to Colorado (went whitewater rafting witch was soooo exiting) and then to the Rocky Mountain's. Had a great time both years!
Libragirl, thank you for your reply (june 3th) on the topic ""is everybody getting tired to hear you talking about the cruise" or something simular.
I just read it, I haven't been visiting this forum for a while because I tried not to search for cruise-information for a while, my friend André was getting to little attention and needed some. But....only five weeks to go and I can't help myself'anymore...
Well, it's a little long reply but that is to compensate for the long time I was away....
Greetings from Holland and if you are soon going on a cruise...have a GREAT TIME everybody!
I'm Laurie from Minnesota! I'm 36 and have been married to John for 12 years. We have two sons, ages 7 and 5. I teach elementary school here in my small town. We've been to various locations in the Carribean and Mexico but are going on our first cruise in two weeks, on the Inspiration! I'm really excited but also extremely nervous about leaving the boys. They will stay with both sets of grandparents.

Hi, I'm Kathy and my husband is Bob. We have 2 boys (14 and 10) and will be cruising on the Inspiration in exactly 15 days (Aug 14). This website is fantastic. I have been on one cruise on Carnival many, many moons ago but my husband and kids have not. We are extremely excited about this trip. It took me quite a bit of begging and pleading to get the husband to agree, but now he's looking forward to it as much as I am. I am thrilled to see all the great reviews of the Inspiration. I picked it because the timing and ports of call were just right for us. Sure hope our experience is as great as everyone elses!
Congrats on your upcoming cruise. I think your going to love the Inspiration I know we did Up untill our cruise on the Valor in May,which was awesome, the Inspiration has been our favorite ship and cruise.
The way you described your husband, brought back alot of memory's for me. The wife was the one that got us cruising, and actually gave me an option to go, or stay home.
However, I must warn you. If your husband likes the atmosphere onboard the ship, the service, the food, and the different ports of call, you may create a cruising monster.

We got bit by the cruising bug when we took our honeymoon cruise in 1998. We have done mostly Celebrity ships, but did cruise on the Sensation and have booked the Carnival Liberty for next April. I love to read cruisemates for all the info, interesting comments and helpful tidbits.
HAPPY CRUISING TO ALL!

New cruisers, just wish I had more vacation time!!
almost 20 yo son, almost 23 yo daughter and a surprise last year via daughter, a darling granddaughter 11 months today! Who said life was perfect.
Husband and me flew together for the very first time in 28 years last March when we went to Cabo San Lucas. Now a timeshare owner there. Those who have cruised the Mexican Riviera, we waved to all the beautiful cruise ships when they came into port! What beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Cabo. If you haven't done this cruise yet, do it!! Cabo is a very happening place for the 60 and under set tee hee! Just watch that tequila!! Eat at Tabasco's, drink at the Office, experience the Mango Deck, do some fishing, eat at the Marina - you will want to come back for a longer period of time! All the water sports you want - surfing, banana boats, jet skis, snorkeling, whale watching, Lover's Beach at Land's End, glass bottom boats, shopping....

Tanya and Erin here. We're heading off on the Carnival Elation on September 3rd. I (Tanya) am a student and my sister Erin is a chef. My parents will also be going. We're looking for the caper flyer for Elation out of Miami. We'd love to get a jump on what's going on before we board.
Hi, I'm Jewell, booked for the December 2 cruise on Carnival Glory with my friend Alan. I live in Omaha, Nebraska, Alan lives in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been on five cruises, this will be my first. I have three daughters, 28, 22 and 22. I am a legal secretary for a small law firm. Alan is a licensed x-ray technician.
I'm Jennifer from British Columbia - married to Hugh (as long as his money holds out lol). I'm a retired Mom (as if!!!) at least the younguns' are out of ours and into nests of their own. We discovered cruising in 2004 - we've done 3 on Carnival on one on Princess - prefer Carnival. next it's off to Alaska.
I'm Romain, I'm french (borned in Marseille, I will study in Paris), and I'm 18 years old.
I'm with my girlfriend since nine years, and I travelled two times on the Queen Mary 2, the first from Southampton to New-York, and the second time from Southampton to a Mediterranean tour (Vigo, Barcelone, Marseille, Florence, Gibraltar ...). I travel alaways with my girlfriend.
The last travel finished in the August 11th, and it was which I prefer, better than transatlantic from England to USA.
And the next cruise I'll do is on the Queen Victoria, the first inaugural cruise, during Christmas time ... It's very exciting !
Vicki & Dave - we are both in our early 50's
Florida Panhandle - Ft. Walton area
Dave is retired military and does rental maintenance part time now.
I still work 4 days a week in a real estate office as a secretary.
Would love to retire and just play.
We will going on our first cruise in November from Port Canaveral on the Elation.
We normaly take trips in our M/H to the mountains of Georgia where we hike and hunt waterfalls. So this will be very different for us.
We both enjoy stockcar racing-Nascar-dirt track. We can be found on most Saturday nights sitting in the stands of a local track.
We are both down to earth people with no false airs about us. We both prefer jeans over dressy clothes. So Formal night is a big deal for us. But we are going!! I hope we can meet other people with our interest on the cruise. I plan on having fun and enjoying it.
