I noticed that someone has asked this question, so I thought I would throw it out there, so that others could tell there experiences on a tender boat.
When a cruise ship pulls into port, they either go all the way to the pier and tie up, or if the water is not deep enough or there is no pier, then they must tender. To tender means to use a smaller boat to get from the ship to the shore.
I asked this question once before, and one of the Cruisemates people(Mike, I won't mention your name) Sent me a picture of a man struggling to get on a ship, in a little bitty boat with very heavy waves. It scared me to death. Being steady on my feet is not my strong suit, so I was sure I would fall in the water. He was of course teasing, and I did find out that tendering is harmless, and many times fun.
My first time to Cozumel, my husband thought it was hysterical that I had already started shopping on the tender!!! What can I say, there were some guys with Sterling Silver chains and it seemed like a good deal!
I can never pass up an opportunity to shop and cruise!!
