Default Cabin location...high or low?

Is a cabin on the Panorama deck a good choice? We have always had cabins midship or lower and I have heard that the higher up the more motion? True or not? I had a choice of Panorama or Lido on The Conquest and took Panorama deck, front of ship. Did I make the right choice?

It is true that you feel more of the motion higher up. For instance my cabin was on Riviera deck and 6 of the other cabins in my party were 3 floors above us on Empress (initially I was quite upset about this). Our ride was very smooth but we could feel the subtle shaking and gentle sway whenever we were up in the Empress cabins. So we were glad to be where we were afterall. The lower you are and closer to midship the less movement you feel.

If you're not prone to bother by the motion then you should have a great location on Promenade!!

I can only guess but I'd say yes there is less foot traffic. There are fewer cabins on the Panorama deck and no reason for other guests to go down those hallways - plus the fact that you're at the front and not right by the elevators should lessen the traffic as well.

I think my family would choose the Lido deck just because we spend most of our time on Lido and would therefore have less elevator/stairs time.

Hopefully someone who has had cabins on both or either can give you more insight
