Way to go Rob! We usually don't even make it off the ship before booking the next one. (Usually a "Perk" for booking aboard too!) Right now when I log into Carnival, it says 9 DAYS until you sail the Glory!
Ken, what sort of perk(s) do they offer you for booking on board? I was, frankly, quite surprised they weren't actively hawking repeat bookings while I was on Victory last week. I kept thinking what an amazing marketing opportunity they were passing up - who better to target a cruise to than people who are already having a blast on a cruise currently? Would be cool if you could book your next cruise onboard with a modest deposit ($250 or so) and just have it sent right to your Sail & Sign account on the current trip.
I booked the "Mariner of the Seas" while onboard the "Legend of the Seas", (yes I know,,,Royal Caribbean) and got an extra $100 onboard credit! The price was a bit higher, HOWEVER, as the price has dropped over the months, I called my agent, (yes, I was allowed to reassign the booking to my favorite agent when I got home) and she got the lower fare for me. I've never booked a Carnival cruise onboard, but will probably give it a shot next week. (We're on the Glory) I'll report back to you. As I recall, aboard Princess, there was also an "onboard credit" and also the deposit was only $200 instead of $500 for a seven day booked aboard, in advance.
See you aboard,
