Default Time from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral??

We will be at Orlando airport by 9:35 am the day of our cruise. Do we have enough time to get to Port Canaveral?? How long does it take and what is the best way to get there, and cheapest??? Thanks Do we have to call ahead for a shuttle or just get one there??? Or rent a car?? What to do, What to do???

Be sure to check out what the cruiseline wants for their transfers, they can be reasonable and by arriving at the airport by 9:30 is plenty of time, in fact I would think they'd just be starting to pick up the next group of cruise passengers around that time. We used the transfers through Carnival the last cruise, for a cost of $50 per person, round trip. On the return, we were at the airport before 11:00 and even got an earlier flight.

The travel time, is around 45 minutes.

Potter,
When we traveled that route this past June we had the TA arrange the Carnival transfer. It seems that about $50 roundtrip was about right. The only problem was that we arranged our on flight with Southwest and as you may have guessed, Southwest's terminal is at the other end from the Mears Transfer area. Might want to get a porter if your loaded down with luggage. Also there was work on the bridge getting off the interstate at that time. Getting there was slowed but the return was a breeze.
Seemed like an hour to get there then but the return was about 35 minutes. Have a great sail..........
Joey

Thanks But we don't cruise until Jan. so could you please let me know?? It looks like the shuttle would be the best way, as we will need to get back to the airport to rent a car for a couple days after the cruise. We will be on the Glory also so please let us know any info you think we will need. Can't wait!!! Thanks!!!

You can also rent a car near the port, so that you wouldn't need to go back to the airport just to rent one. Rent it one way from the port with drop off at the airport. This way you would only need to pay a one way shuttle fee from the airport to the cruise terninal. When we cruise in January 2007, their are 4 of us, so we plan on renting a van both ways, to and from the airport as it will be cheaper than $50.00 shuttle fee per person round trip.
