Carnival Pride

I've read some great things about Carnival ships but have also read they are loud party ships. I've been on RCCL Explorer and Celebrity Mercury. I don't mind people having fun but don't want a loud booze party in the hall or next cabin either. Any feedback on Carnival Pride? Is it a loud party ship?

I have been on the Pride to Mexico (as well as RCI, Celebrity, and Princess cruises) and did not find it to be any louder than other lines. Depending on the time of year you go, any ship can be a "party ship". I think Carnival is still trying to shake it's image from the 80's. The food and entertainment are always good and the cabins are some of the biggest you will find on any ship.

We went on the pride in April for a special Sammy Hagar Cruise to CAbo. We rarley heard anybody in the hall or from their rooms. There was a couple of parties scheduled for us but nothing too crazy. I wouldn't worry too much about it, I am sure on every cruise you can get a drunk who can ruin it for those around them. I did see a person get cut off at the bar, so they are watching who is having too much. The Cruise staff was great.

The Pride is my favourite ship (so far lol). We had a balcony cabin right above the promenade deck and it was perfect. We haven't been bothered by any noise from adjoinging cabins or the hallways on any ships we have been on. The only noisy time was the cabin on the Conquest - it was right above the teen club - and the music and dj went on at all hours - very annoying for us old farts lol. Just be aware of what is on the floors above and below you when you book your cabin.

Forgot to mention - we liked the Pride so much we are looking into the Spirit (same class ship) for next fall to Alaska.
