Default How do you find what stateroom you are booked in?

Last year I was able to find what stateroom I was booked into by going to the purchase gifts page after the the funpass page.

That link is now missing. The other links to the gift page just leave the stateroom designation blank.

Anybody out there have an answer?

Larry

Hi Larry, Did you book through the cruise line, or TA. If it has been assigned, they should be able to tell you. I know the method you are trying to use, and you are the first person I have heard that it didn't work. Maybe it has not been assigned yet, and that is why you are getting a blank. Good Luck, and keep us informed.

Luanne

The order gift link method stopped working a few weeks ago. Now the only way that works, online if you didn't book directly with Carnival) to check to see if you are assigned a cabin yet is go to the page like you are going to order gifts, to input your booking number and your BEST guesses at the cabin number (hint, it will not be a cabin that is still available to choose)I found mine that way, but I only had to guess 8 times to get it, since I am booked in an 8i GTY and all the cat 11 and 12s are gone (darn it!) Found I am getting what I paid for. I was able to find my cabin at about 53 days out. If the page lets you continue the order, you will see that the booking number and cabin # area page changes and no longer says invalid cabin or booking #.

Thanks Doreenrae, I guess I'll just have to wait until I get a little closer to the date of my vacation and start filling in the blank until I hit pay-dirt.

Thanks for the tip

Larry

I am not sure why the link stopped working, but I am going to have a hard time waiting to find out where my cabin will be. This is the first time we booked a GTY cabin, we did book oceanview though, keeping our fingers crossed for a balcony.

If you want to find out whether or not your cabin has at least been assigned using this method, put in "tba" as your cabin number. If you get the message "Invalid Book and/or Cabin Number", then you know that you have been assigned a cabin.

However, if you get a message that advises you have to phone in your gift order, then you have not yet been assigned a cabin.

I am still awaiting for my cabin assignment, and my cruise leaves in less than 3 weeks.

We used that method back in 2002 on a RC cruise because we had a certain category cabin, but not assigned (our agent at that time said that offered you the best chance for an upgrade if everyone booked that category wanted assigned, then those unassigned usually got bumped up). we had to wait until just a couple of months out to see where we'd be. The last two cruises were with Carnival and both times we were given a cabin assignment through the agent when we booked. If you want the category your in and know you want a specific area (close to elevators, not in back, not in front, etc..) of the ship then i'd call the line or agent you booked with and request an assignment.

Just call your travel agent and ask.

This is unrelated to the topic, but I just have to say, Midazolam, that your parrot is cute.

Thank you Cherie. I agree, My parrot, Reggae is cute, much cuter than me

As for the room number. My trip is still so far away that if I asked my travel agent for my room number now she would just laugh at me.

But I am so up about the cruise that I just have to play.
