Default another insurance question???

We are going on a 7 day cruise, should we get the cruise, tour and travel ins or just a cheaper one. I've been checking out Travel Guard, it looks like the same price thru them or www.insuremytrip.com. Insurance would be for DH and myself, we will be flying also. Do we go with the cheapest or the cruise tour and travel which is about 156.00 for the two of us. Help!!! Thanks everyone for all your help!!! I love all the info!!!

Read carefully what each of them offer. You don't want to short change yourself in case anything happens. Some of them include medical emergencies on board.

read what exactly the coverage is. The coverage that you need is trip cancellation/interuption, baggage, and medical evacuation. Get it for your air and cruise. You also need to find out if your medical insurance will cover you out of the country, some do some don't. If it doesn't then you would need to purchase additional medical insurance.

Apologies if this has been asked... but is there a certain time period when insurance needs to be purchased? After reading some horror stories a few weeks back, I really want to get insurance from now on. If we're already booked, is it too late? Danke.

It's not too late at all.

We've always bought Travelguard (never had to use it ), through our TA. It covers us from the time we leave the house until we're back home.

The $156.00 for two sounds about right, if it's the full coverage.

To have pre-existing conditions covered, you usually need to buy insurance before final payment. We just go ahead and buy it when we make our deposit. One less thing to worry about!
