Default Spirit and Hawaii - 12 day cruise question

Has anyone been on the Spirit with the 12 day Hawaii trip - with the 5 sea days at the end? Can you tell me about your experience with it? is 12 days to long - with 5 sea days? Did you enjoy island hopping? Best month to go to hawaii? Anything to help out would be appreciated

I did the Vancouver - Honolulu route last year (5 seas days first) and loved it. I could have done all twelve days at sea. The 7 days in a row of ports was a little too intensive for me, but I still had a great time. On the last day of our 5 sea days, it hit me that I still have a week on the ship and couldn't have been happier. I think the 5 days at the end of the cruise would have been better for me to recoup from all the ports.

Thats exactly why I want the sea days on the end - so I can recoup! Bad enough you have to go to work the next day after coming home! What didy you do for 5 sea days tho -- are there any activities going on? Are there nightly shows? I LOVE the nightly shows! Thanks.......

Awesome! I want a full report! You have the 5 sea days at the end?? My problem is it is so hard for me to get off 12 days - well, about 14 with traveling and recoup time!

We used from LA to Hawaii on a 14 day cruise, and personally I felt it was too many days at sea. Maybe because it was my first time to Hawaii and I would have preferred to fly there (I know! What a thing to say...) and have a land vacation there...I think we would have seen a LOT more of these beautiful islands...we certainly didn't have enough time to see everything there, or at least perhaps cruise between the islands and spend some days on shore....

My two centavos!

We'll be on the same cruise as you. Still trying to figure out the best way to get from Ensenada back home to Orange County...

I found out that Carnival provides complimentary motorcoach transportation from Ensenada to San Diego. Since you are in Orange County, there must be a way to get home from San Diego.

My husband and I are also on the 10/2 cruise for our honeymoon. The reason we chose was because of the 5 days at sea at the end. I thought it would be a great way to relax after having the first 7 days so busy, it will be like 2 vacations in 1.

Thank you!... I found out the same thing shortly after I posted; I called Carnival to confirm it. We'll pick up a rental car at the San Diego airport and drive home from there.
