My favorites are the creme brulee and smoked salmon......however, they are never as good on land in any restaurant, as they are on a cruise ship. For that matter, nothing can compare to cruise ship food....that is why even the hot dogs are delicious.

PS.A cold beer taste better on a cruise ship also.

You're absolutely right. Maybe it's because of the mentality that you can eat all you want and it's "free"

Oh yeah, just a thought--has anyone tried the premium supper club (the one that's about $30 US/person)? What are you reviews on it? Is it really worth it? And how does the food compare to the main dining rooms?

What does that mean? Prawns are large shrimp, and crawdads are crawfish. Surely you know the difference if you live on the MS Gulf Coast...?

Of all my cruises on all lines, Carnival food is by far the best. I'm particularly fond of the following:

Beef Wellington
Chilean Sea Bass
Chateaubriand
Delice of the Ocean
Long Island Roast Duckling

I've also found the soups to be very good, especially the Gazpacho and Strawberry Bisque.

Desserts - Not their strong point, but a few are very good. I think they do a better job on the French pastries than anything else. The Mango Napoleon and Swan Chantilly are very nice, light, and go well with the comp espresso after dinner.
