How much is a massage on carnival ships, and are they worth it?

My husband had one pool side last year on the Valor. They charged him $1 a minute, min of 15 minutes. He asked for a half hour, I think he was asleep within 15!!

A bad cruise is still better than a good week at work!!!

I got a 50 minute body scrub and full body massage for around $120-130 I think...can't recall exactly. It was well worth it.

I had a 20 minute back & neck by the pool for $30. I was in pain for the next three days. The girl was very rough, even when I told her it was too much tension she said oh well you have knots in your back. Maybe my back was swollen from her.

All in all I think the massages are great, but when I got to costa maya, they had massages right on the beach for $20 an hour.

I dropped by the spa as soon as I got on the ship one time to get a pedicure appointment, because I'd failed to get this done before leaving home. The rep said they usually used the dancers for the spa tour, but the dancer had fallen ill, would I be willing to be the spa model in exchange for a free massage. Yes!

So, I received a Seaweed Massage, $195 value, free ... over a couple of hours ... as people walked through the room. Wonderful. I was so relaxed that I wanted to sleep through sailaway. A great way to start the cruise!

The massages are worth every penny! I always have a full body massage and I have trouble walking back to my cabin since I feel like a wet noodle afterward! You are on vacation...it is really worth the money!!!!
