Just got off the phone with my TA and our 5 day out of Tampa on the Inspiration next Sept. has been cancelled as well as all of the other Sept. sailings. I was really looking forward to the ports too. Guess I better start researching other cruises now!
Luanne, no she didn't say why. All she said is it looks like Carnival cancelled all of the bookings for next September. The Carnival website doesn't say anything yet either. I just kind of assumed dry dock as well. We were going to go the end of Sept. when the kids were all settled in school, since we aren't taking them. And we just can't beat the fall prices! I'm really bummed out because I was looking forward to leaving from somewhere other than Port Canaveral. I know I shouldn't be complaining because at least we're still going. I was just really looking forward to this particular one.
I assume that the "Miracle" will be sailing out of Tampa then. It's seven day, but a really good cruise I'm told. Also, there are always ships from RCL, and HAL that sail out of here (Tampa) as well. Good luck, and hang in there. It'll all work out.
Sorry to hear your cruise has been cancelled. Don't give up on that particular cruise. I did that itinerary on the Sensation (older then Inspiration)outta Tampa and it was FABULOUS. Usually some very good prices round Feb or March. We enjoy cruisin then cuz it breaks up our long winters. AND as the others said, Miracle AIN'T TOO SHABBY either!
BUMMER!! But, you still have a year! Since you are from Michigan,, why not look a september cruises leaving N.Y. city? the prices are great and you still get to go to places like San Juan. I live in Montreal and am looking into doing a summer cruise from here into the maritimes (not that it would be new, im from New Brunswick), but hey a cruise is a cruise. But from Florida, Port Canaveral also have great cruises. Personally, I do not like Tampa, but that is each's opinion. Keep me updated
