Carnival Legend and Miracle switch

anyone else heard the news that the miracle will be sailing out of NY next spring and summer and the Legend will stay in florida. We have been on the legend several times and are wondering if the Miracle is just as good as the Legend?????

That may be true. I know we're sailing on the Legend from Ft. Lauderdale in March.

we were also told by our PVP that the two ships were going to switch. i believe that the Miracle is older than the ledgend but is a sprit class and at 88,000 tons is a bit too small for us

I booked my cruise to the eastern carib last April out of NY which was the Carnival Legend but I have received notice from Carnival that it will now be the Miracle. After a little investigation, the Miracle is actually 2 years YOUNGER than the Legend and isn't so "theme parkish". I think this decision was made after feedback from the Northeast cruisers prefering a more "sophisticated" ship.

Well, then the Miracle is not the ship then.

You know the bolts in Frankensteins neck? Well, that's the basic lighting.

You'll enter Metropolis in the atrium, a huge Frankenstein in the disco, and the Mat Hatter is the theme for the lounge.

And then there's the dining room:

OMG!!!!!!! That is the most hideous thing I have seen on land or sea. Perhaps the method to their madness is to cut their food cost by making passengers lose their appetites.
I am afraid that our 3 and 6 year would probably like it though.

I'm booked on the Miracle in November, and had heard about the dining room, but not the other public areas. This should be interesting! Sounds like we folks in Tampa are getting the best end of the deal if we trade the Miracle for the Legend! Sorry, New York!

I just took a virtual Tour of the Miracle. The casino is called Mr. Lucky? To funny. My husband has a body part.... well never mind. I couldn't stop laughing. Was telling him all the different things I was seeing, and said the name of the Casino before I thought about it. man is he disappointed.

Hmmm I'm trying to get my husband's attention with regard to booking another cruise. Can anyone tell me if Carnival has a Casino called "Mr. Happy"?

I figured since Luanne lucked out with "Mr. Lucky" Maybe lightening might strike twice.

I've been informed, by another board, that the pink lights in the dining room are gone! But don't get too excited, they've only been replaced with purple lights. Not much of an improvement if you ask me.

BUT......look at some of my pics in the photo gallery. The grapes are truly awful and Dr. F's is for the teens to enjoy (IMHO), but the rest of the ship is just full of beautiful statutes and paintings.

Yes, the Miracle is a beautiful ship, though the Legend is my favorite!! I remember when the Legend came out, everyone complained about the urns!!!

Just got off the Miracle and had a great time . The service and the food were great. I would book it again this week if i could. There were 12 couples and everyone of them said the same thing
