What Kind Of Shoes?

Here's a question...

We're vruising now in less than 2 week. We are not going to do any of the formal nights at all. We'll just do whatever the norm is for the other nights on formal nights. So I know I'm expected to wear pants and a golf shirt are fine, but what about shoes with that ensamble? Sneakers ok?

LOTS of walking, a good pair of walking shoes work.... I always take my Rockports so I don't get sore feet .... Have a great cruise.!!

Yes, sneakers are OK. You really should do the formal night you will be happy you did. Suit jacket and tie, any pants and shoes will be fine for formal night. Dresses to pants suits for the ladies. Have great fun!!!

are you asking about wearing sneakers in the dining room during dinner hours?
Sneakers are for daytime wear
Casual shoes (loafers, boat shoes) for casual dining evenings. Unless you are going to the buffet

sneakers - tennis shoes are fine. I really don't think anyone will be 'checking out' your feet and what shoes you have on. And if they do - they need to get a life! I use to do formal nights all the time, but its old now and just hit the Lido deck if I feel like it. Wear what makes you comfortable and that will be good enough. [/u]

I've said in other posts, neither of us is into "dressing up" we both hate it and are never comfortable. I'll be happy with the buffet / other dining options that don't require the up scale dress code. Plus I don't own a suit, jacket, tie, etc.

I'm now in my mid 40's does this mean I will soon be wearing sandals(God forbid with white socks) soon to formals?
