Default Carnival Complaint

Does Carnival have a website where a particular complaint can be written and sent? If so, it must be a big secret, as I haven't been able to locate it yet. Not a big complaint, but, one that has irked me for several years.

our overall experiences on carnival have been pleasant. However we did write a letter about a major problem we had in July and still havent had a response back yet. So good luck. It irked me for a while and then I weighed out the good and the bad. I just love Carnival and just hope they make improvements on the customer service end at the reservations end.

Don't get me wrong, we love Carnival also, even got another booked in February, but, I've tried and tried to get on their email list for "specials" that I hear about too late on Cruisemates. Why won't they send them to me. I've sailed 5 times on Carnival in the last five years and it seems they would include me as a regular customer. It seems like they don't like my business. Maybe I'm just reading something into this.........but I'm still cruising.

I have the same problem, on my carnival profile it says i am signed up for the specials emails but never have I recieved them, and I even check my junk email folder for them too!

Default Here's the solution to your problem

Log into their website, go to update your profile and you will see a box that says "Please contact me for special cruise offers and news" If you check that box you will be included in their email specials and notified of Carnival's One Day sails. Hope that helps. Unless that box is checked in your online profile, you will recieve nothing via email from Carnival. Hope that helps!

I receive their email, but they are very vague and if you want more info you have to contact your "vacation planner". I find Cruisemates and other cruise website the most helpful. Then when I find a great deal I check all the sites to see which is best.

Good Luck! I have emailed complaints and questions several times
and have not received any replies. I even emailed my PVP and did
not get a response, so I called him. You might try sending a letter
via snail mail. I have found that the best way to register a complaint
or a complement is to fill out the comment cards during your cruise and
turn them in before debarkation. You can try to call customer service,
but you probably won't get very far.

Maybe you could get a better response by registering a suggestion instead of a complaint. Suggest a way to fix what ever it is you had concerns with.

I emailed a complaint to Carnival after a cruise I was on. I recieved a letter via snail mail with a certificate in it for a gift. I was to use it when booking my next cruise with them So I did and got a $50 onboard credit.

Turkeyman, you may complain if you choose. But I think you'll find that if you log into Carnival.com and follow my directions in the previous post and check the box to recieve special offers, that should fix your problem. If this box is not checked in your profile then you will not get emails offers or notifications from Carnival.
You will find that this is what they will probably tell you if you are fortunate enough to get a response to your complaint.

That wasn't the OP's complaint. Getting on the email list hardly qualifies as a complaint about your cruise and is easy to remedy.

Have you done as beenie weenie suggested? (No, you're not invisible, bw !) If you have, and you're still not receiving the email specials, call Carnival!

We haven't been on Carnival in a while, but we still get the emails.

I checked my profile and the "box" is checked, and has been since I've been visiting their website. I have called several times, and was assured by different TA's that I would receive offers.

Thanks for the help and info on possible solutions, anyway. I'll just keep checking here for sales and such, as my inquiries to Carnival seem to fall on deaf ears. Their PR is lacking, but they still have the best cruise for the buck.

OK in a last ditch attempt to assist you with your issue. Call the main number for Carnival and request the website help desk. I can't remember but their auto attendant may even offer a prompt for this, and explain your situation. Perhaps they can look at their own systems and see if there is a coding or keying error preventing you from getting the "specials."

To get contact info for any publicly traded corporation simply enter the quotron symbol into any stock quote search engine. If you don't know the symbol, enter the name. Then click on company profile and evrything is listed. Carnival Cruise Lines is CCL. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=CCL

I have only been on one Carnival cruise but get emails from them with offers constantly as well as mailers and magazines.

I'm new at cruising only been on two Carnival Cruises. I receive wonderful email specials whenever offered seems like alot to. I have also had reps call my home to offer me great specials via that way. I have noticed I have received the email specials more than my co-workers who cruise on a regular basis meaning 3 times a year. Ro

Turkeyman,

I've got the same problem with their Currents magazine. Even though I cruise with Carnival twice a year on average, I will not get Currents unless I call and ask for it and they don't know why. Emails on the other hand ... I get tons of them. Sometimes you just get lost in their network I guess.

Thanks for all the advice folks. The reps must be akin to most other companies that offer "customer service." Nil..........After a few months of emails and phone calls the issue still persists............,but I still have another cruise booked in Feb.

Wonder if that lady that has a 100 cruises under her belt, (in the "NEWS" portion of their website), gets emailed specials?

We also get tons of Carnival email. I don't know if this was already suggested, but is your email program filtering them out as junk mail? If so, they may be sending them and you may never see them.
