How much money do I need?

I'm set to cruise 10/09. I will be on the Carvinal Imagination. We're going to Grand Caymen, and Ocho Rios. How much money can I expect to spend? Neither me or my husband drinks. So no alcholic beverages. What do you generally spend money on? Was wondering if I could keep under $1000.

For a two port cruise, you won't need very much. Porter tips (ship and airport) and a few bucks to spare. Heck I could do it for $300 and feel OK.

Ship purchases will go on your ship card. Unless you want to pay it by cash at the end of the cruise, that should be plenty.

It depends on how many excursions you take and how many of the gazillion of the pictures you buy from the trip. If you gamble, add on to that level. If your a shopper, then add that as well.

Excursion prices very per port and what you do.
Pictures - You will see spots for days they take so many pictures. If you decide to buy some then there's packages and prices for indiviuals shots.

I took the ? to be now much cash to bring. No?

Some people like to pay with cash on the last day so they don't end up with a credit card bill. I just figured they might want to know about extras that can load up up the expenses. :D

nikki,
The items that you will need cash for will be purchased off of the ship. All things purchased on the ship will be charged to your sail and sign card which will be added to your credit card upon debarkation.

If you have arranged tours or excursions yourself you will need to pay for these at whatever prearranged price set. As Dina said any shopping that you do while in port can also be taken care of with cash. Big ticket items such as jewelry ect. need to be paid for with a credit card in case any questions arise later.

$1000 is alot of green to be taking on a short cruise unless you have something to purchase in mind.

In any case I hope you have a great cruise and welcome to the "been bitten by the cruise bug club" LOL

I like to gamble, drink, shop & do fun excursions on each cruise. I am also on a budget so I limit myself to $100 a day. So for a 7 night cruise, I take $700 and do what I can do with it. Incuding tipping.
