We booked Carnival Valor, March 04 - 11, 2007, Western Caribbean

Any comments on the Valor, anybody else on this board going on this cruise?

We are taking our two grand-daughters age 12 & 16 for their first cruise.

I was on the Valor March 5-12, 2006; and we had an absolute blast. Plenty of things for the family to do together, plenty of things for the adults to do themselves, and plenty for the kids to do as well. The Valor is gorgeous and the food is fabulous. I hope you have a wonderful cruise!

This will be their first cruise.

Just bumping this thread to see if anybody from CruiseMate will be doing the March 40/06 Valor cruise to the Western Caribbean.

I sailed the Valor in Aug and I loved the ship. I think the kids will have a wonderful time. From what I could see, the children had plenty of actvities.

Did a btb on the Valor in 05, Western on Valor in 06, and am booked on the Valor again for 07 - love the ship and the ports. Great crew, beautiful ship - you can't go wrong with this cruise. Katie

Read your CruiseMate profile and saw that you are a "casino pit supervisor". Can help but wonder how you made out in the cruise ship's casino?

Any worth while tips?

WE JUST RETURNED FROM A WEEK ON THE VALOR, HAD A GREAT TIME. WE WERE ON THE EASTERN CRUISE. BEAUTIFUL SHIP, GREAT CREW AND SO MANY ACTIVITIES. WE HAD A BALCONY CABIN ON THE 8TH DECK FORWARD. AVOID ROOMS ABOVE THE DISCO'S AND LOWER LEVEL ABOVE THE ENGINE. WE HEARD THEY ARE REALLY LOUD. I RECOMMEND A BALCONY, IT WAS SO PEACEFULL AT NIGHT. CARINVAL PERMITS YOU TO BRING WINE, NO LIMIT AS LONG AS IT'S GOOD WINE, WHICH MEANS IT HAS TO HAVE A CORK, AND YOU CAN BRING UP TO 12 BOTTLES OF WATER OR POP OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH. STEWARD BRINGS YOU ICE AT LEAST TWICE A DAY. CRUISE DIRECTOR IS ALOT OF FUN. HAVE A GREAT TRIP.

I will be getting off, the valor as you are getting on. we will have to compare notes after as I am going Eastern you are going western

We will also be getting off the ship as you are getting on. Two months today we are heading down south! I cant wait. Did you try checking for a roll call for your cruise?
