We recently heard that Carnival bought Princess, does anyone know if this is true? AND if so, we are looking at an Alaskan cruise next year - Carnival only does one week and we want two so we're wondering if Carnival owns Princess can we book a Princess Cruise and have it count towards our Carnival cruises???

I think what confuses people is the fact that Hal, Princess etc are all owned by Carnival Corporation. Carnival Cruise Lines is just that...Carnival Cruise Line. However, that being said RCCL owns Celebrity and while I still don't think you can combine cruises between the two...you can get Celebrity perks based on your number of RCCL cruises (if I am not mistaken). This is what we are pushing for at Carnival.
We want Carnival to add an Elite card after 25 cruises that would allow passengers to enjoy the best perks of any sister cruise line!
Who's with me?? Use those comment cards!!
