Default Grand Cayman Pirate Ship Excursion

We are wanting and waiting to book the Pirate Boat excursion when we sail on the Conquest in March 27. It seems like most of Grand Cayman's excursions have been posted but not this one.

For those of you that have taken this excursion, when did Carnival post it on their excursion listings? Any ideas?

I have called Carnival a couple of times and have been told it's too far out from the cruise to book this excursion (let's see how many more times I can use this word in the post!). We are now under 120 days from sailing.

Can anyone help?

When we did the Pirate Cruise, the time was November of 2004 and we took the "other" Carnival line "Princess". It was a blast to do and well worth the time to experience.

Had Dh call Carnival to see what they would tell him and the response he got was that if the excursion hasn't been posted by now, then they probably won't be offering it anymore

They have NO idea what this will do to our kids!!!!! ACK!, I don't want to tell them!!!!

I thought I figured it out. When I went on the jollyroger site I noticed that the excursion only occurred Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. We will be in Grand Cayman on a Thursday. Hence, not showing up on My Reservation. I took a similar excurion in St. Thomas and had a blast!!!! We are leaving for our cruise on January 20th so I hope we can get onto this Grand Cayman one.

Thanks Dottie, please let us all know if you find out anything because this is such a fun excursion. I actually jumped off the plank and did the rope swing on the other event. Felt like a kid again - hehehehehe

Hey Dottie please let them know of other Carnival cruisers who arrive in Grand Cayman on Thursday's that are interested in this excursion! Sounds better than the beach and I've done Stingray City.

I will be happy to let them know.

You just don't know how disappointed our kiddos are that we won't be going on this excursion unless I can talk Dh into taking it!

He's hesitant about not booking an excursion that isn't offered by Carnival. On our last cruise several folks that had booked with other companies for excursioins were almost left behind and this has stuck in his mind.

This is the response we received today after emailing Jolly Roger:

"Hi Jack,

Please book with your shore director.

Kind regards

Carla Brinson"

Glad they were eager to help

Well, that was quite a response!! They are going to lose a lot of business if they respond like that to all inquiries.
