Default Best Time to cruise

When is the best time to cruise where there isn't a ton of kids on board? Last cruise seemed to have more kids than adults and was often aggrevating.

Try to avoid any time during the year where there is scool breaks, and the summer months in the Caribbean as well. I love going later in the winter before spring break or after in April.

I agree with the previous posters too,,,spring or fall are our favorite times of year. We've also found that the middle size ships seem to be less overrun with children than the larger ships. Maybe the "Spirit" class ships. ie: Spirit, Pride, Legend or Miracle. For some reason, these seem to have fewer screaming children aboard.
Have a great cruise,,,all the Carnival ships are great!

We take most of our cruises from September through February because that is when we get the best deals. I did go on a cruise during the summer and had a great time, but it was much more expensive than the other cruises I have taken.

We like cruisin in the winter cuz it breaks up our long winter and I'm a certified card-carryin cheapskate. But IMO, the weather and seas are a little rougher around Bahamas and E. Caribbean that time of year. The weather on the western route seems the best at that time. That's just our opinion, if it's wrong, feel free to jump on it.
