Default Did anyone watch TLC tonight - Freedom o f the seas?

Did anyone watch the learning channel today with Freedom of the Seas? Awesome ship - however, I think its a little to big for me (only my opinion as I have never sailed her --- yet). So far, I l like the middle sized ships. But, I'm going to have to force myself to cruise her (lol) one day! Maybe she will eventually come to new orleans.

cherylroy I watched a show on the travel channel where Samantha Brown was on the Freedom of the Seas. Yes, it looks big. We were on the Glory December 2nd, dont know how those two ships compared. She stopped in Cozumel and was at the dolphin encounter so that was neat since I had been there, although my kids thought I was wierd that I got so excited seeing it

I too watched the "Freedom" on the travel channel, and yes, it's an absolutely beautiful ship. We sailed her slightly smaller sister, the "Mariner" a few months ago, and I have to agree that it's a little bit too big for me as well. One advantage is that you can walk off that extra piece of cheesecake just going from one end of the ship to the other. I prefer the "Glory" or even better the "Miracle" to the "Mariner", but that's just me. Fewer screeming kids, and less walking from one thing to the other, but just as much fun. Perhaps if I was 20 again, I'd prefer the ship with the rock wall, skating rink, inline skating track, surfing thingy etc.

I also saw the special. It is a huge ship. I think I would like to stay with the smaller ships, like the Elation. Don't know what we will do once she moves to California.
