Default Port Canaveral Hotel suggestions please

Anyone frequent Port Canaveral? We’re looking at flying in the day before our cruise and need suggestion on hotels to stay in overnight. Nothing fancy but just good and clean. Also do they have shuttles from Orlando airport to said Hotel and then to the Port the next day? This is something we will need as we hopefully wont have to spend the money for a rental car.

There is a Motel 6 down the road a few miles, about 60 -70 per night and clean, I am fussy 528 turns into A1A but like I said its a few mile down. The ones near port are very pricey usually over 100 If you want to call it is in Cocoa Beach

Luna Sea Motel. It's on A1A. If you have AARP you get a 10% discount. Otherwise it's about 69.00 a night. No shuttle to cruise terminal though. It's not very far to terminal. It was nice and clean, and American owned.

We have stayed at the Comfort Suites, Radisson at the Port and Hampton Inn a couple times each. Comfort Suites, only if you get a room in the newer section. Radisson is very nice with a great pool, most popular with many cruisers and was chaotic on cruise morning with the shuttle service. We prefered the Hampton Inn, less crowded. Get a room on the 8th floor, great balcony ocean view. Pool, free continental breakfast and a walkway to the beach. IHOP is across the street also. We saw Art's shuttle taking cruisers to the port.

the radison is a must , they have a great pool party the evening before the cruise and a shuttle the next morning to get you to the ship, you can see your ship in the morning from the hotel, its very popular with cruisers , most everyone staying there the night prior will be boarding the cruise ship. the pool party has a buffet and live music and they have a tique bar at the pool.

Which Radisson? Exactly where is the one you speak of?

We are staying at the Renaissence of Orlando International on April 13th the night before our cruise on the Glory on the 14th of April 2007. We are only paying 120.00 for a family of 5 (includes a full breakfast) They also include free shuttle services to and from the airport. This is AAA rate and the only problem was that because it is a huge discount we had to pre pay mounths ago. They also have a huge game room gym and pool and there are 5 restruants near bye. We already took the Glory on the western in April 2005 cant wait ti see here again. Thanks Jody

How are you getting to the port? Are you going back to the airport the morning of the cruise and taking the cruise lines bus or are you driving?

Also nobody has mentioned the Residence Inn. We stayed there last August. It has only been open for less than a year.

Dhornick,
The Radisson is called the Radisson at the Port.

Thanks Bill. Right now our biggest quandary is figuring out the timing issues. We plan to arrive Orlando the night before the cruise and whether we stay at an airport hotel or choose to shuttle into the Port area we have to figure out what we're going to do after we return from our cruise. We'll have 10hrs to kill as we figure we'll be disembarked around 9am and our plane does not leave until 745pm. The whole point is to not rent a car and utilize the shuttles. Anyone know of anything you can do for 10hrs not having a car?
