Default Grand Cayman sting rays, turtle farm, hell excursion?

I am looking at taking in all three during our day excursion. Is there anyone taking bookings on land that day or do we have to book through Carnival? I would appreciate info since we leave soon. Thanks to all!

as it has been said before, if you book with the cruise line and the tours run late you will not miss the boat, my advice would be is to book the stingray excursion through the cruise line for an early excursion; then when you get back to the drop off/bus location get a cab to take you to Hell, (there isn't much to see) get your pic taken and get back in cab and have them take you to the Turtle farm and arrange wiht that cabbie a pick up time; an hour is about the most time you can spend at the turtle farm as it is not a huge place... that way you could probably get all three in on 1 day and still have time to shop a little before getting back on board.

Hi holidayer,

IMHO, I'd recommend doing the Carnival Sting Ray City and Island Tour. We did this tour a few years ago and enjoyed it. Also, though it isn't mentioned in the tour info, you will probably be able to go the Rum Cake Factory (which is just across from the Turtle Farm) if that interests you.

It might be less expensive to use a taxi to go to Hell and the Turtle Farm (and there will be plenty of tour operators at the pier selling tours!) but, as msblackjack said if there's a problem you don't have to be worried about missing the ship!

We had plenty of time to shop after the tour.

Have a wonderful cruise!

I have been on many many cruises and the sting ray has been the most impressive. Hell you just have to see it to say you've been there, it is interesting. As was the Turtle Farm. Turtle Farm was more interesting than Hell but Hell was definitely something you want to see one time only.

We also did this tour when we cruised on the Valor. It's a great tour and as you mentioned, there is plenty of time to shop, eat etc afterward. We always purchase shore excursions from the cruiseline, to insure we don't miss the ship if we run late.
Last Nov., (2006) we were on the Crown Princess, and the Capt. left St Lucia 45 minutes late, because a group who purchased an excursion aboard the ship was late in returning, so they waited for them.

I"ve seen some bad traffic jams on Cayman Island.

The roads get jammed around rush hour. Too many cars and only one road.

So you might keep that in mind, depending on what time you're trying to get back to the ship

One of the Carnival Stingray City excursions includes a tour of the island with visits to Hell and the Turtle Farm. . . .Take that one if you can. It really isn't that much more expensive than independent tours. And, as someone mentioned, the roads can get very crowded on GC. Depending on the time you go on the excursion (I recommend the earliest you can book.), you'll have plenty of time to shop/eat.

Keep in mind, by the way, that Grand Cayman is a tender port.

Have fun!!
