This looks like a good cabin to me! You're between passenger decks, so it should be quiet. You're also about halfway between the aft and the amidships elevators and stairs.
I will have to "assume" that it's a good sized cabin since Carnival generally has larger cabins than other ships.
There should be a good mix of older people. Since most schools won't be out here in the US in early May, there should be older singles (and couples) and not so many families.
We haven't been on Carnival in a while, but I believe they'll have a singles meeting. Be sure to read your daily paper to see when that will be held.
I hope someone who's been on the Miracle lately can give you more info!
Have a wonderful cruise!

My hubby, and son 11 went in 8/2006.....loved everything about this ship! In fact we were told by our wait staff this was the #1 rated ship internally for CCL based on rankings and customer feedback. Rooms were good size. If you are going to Belize and Grand Cayman book your excursions on line http://www.belizecruiseexcursions.com/. We did cave tubing in Belize with Yohni and stingray city in GC with Captain Bryan on his catamaran at http://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com/....much less expensive and very well organized. Bring your isulated cups to enjoy ABs poolside and keep cool. Enjoy!
