Default Nassau - Cable Beach area - by city bus ?!

Nassau city buses? Visiting Nassau this week. Has anyone taken city bus #10 to Cable Beach area and used beach facilities at Wynham Hotel, etc? Also, where do I catch #10 bus in Nassau?

YES, YES and YES.... We always use the #10 bus (10A if you want the scenic route) to Wyndams and use their beach facilities. It's a little bit of a walk to reach the bus... It's on Bay St, make a right turn and ask a local where to pick it up. It's a couple blocks down almost across from the Straw Market.

I believe the fare was $1., exact change. We love it... The bus will leave you across the street from Wyndhams (you can tell the driver where you're going when you get on and he'll let you know when you get there). Walk right thru the lobby and it's beautiful. They offer everything...... pool, beach, jetski rentals, parasailing, food and drinks...

to get to cable beach take the #10A jitney. The #10 takes the long way. We got there in about 15 minutes.

The jitneys are on the other side of the Straw market. We didn't know where we were going either but there were plenty of people milling around asking where we wanted to go and they pointed us in the right direction.

The bus is $1.00pp each way payable when you get off. They appreciate exact change.

We didn't use Wyndham, we went to Breezes.

We did this too. Bus filled quickly with locals, but we went with the flow.

Some shops and eats at the hotel, and I don't think we paid a thing.

Last year, we stayed there:

I heard you can do that at the Wyndham. I have also read that they have started charging $15. It seems hit and miss as some people say they still just walked onto the beach.

One other thing about Breezes is that you need to be 16 years old to get in there.
