Someone just posted the names of the CDs on all (or most) Carnival ships.
According to his list, Darcy Knievel, who was CD on the Valor in September has been replaced by Brett Alans. She moved to the Destiny, I think.
She was okay. . .not anything spectacular. We saw more of the assistant CDs than we did of Darcy. People who have been on the Valor recently say the CD now is good.

Holefully it's still Brett Alans in May when I sail on the Valor. He was the CD on the Insiration in 01 when I sailed that ship.

Yes, Brett Alans... I don't really know if he's "good" or "bad"... my first cruise was on the Inspiration when he was the cruise director, too. He seems good to me, but like I said I don't really know.
We just got off the Valor on Sunday. The piano bar was quite popular. The piano player's name is Trevor. He was a really good entertainer. Good variety. Sang well.
Hey does anybody know how often these CD's change ships? Seems like they change very often. Y is that? Anyways I shall be on the Valor on Aug 12 and are wondering who would be the CD then. But since they seem to change so often I guess no one has that answer right?

It seems to me these guys and gals always say they're retiring but it rarely ever happens when they say it is going to. Personally, having been on 25+ cruises Brett Alans is very boring. He was on the Glory this past year and was very phony (to me at least!). But then again, I compare everyone to the best - John Heald. With this said, a Cruise Director should never spoil the trip. You should have a great time. It's a great ship! Enjoy!
