Default Dining room seating question

My husband and I cruised on the Pride for our honeymoon about 3 1/2 years ago and had our own table at the late seating.
We are cruising on the Conquest in November of this year.. We booked our cabin, and we have friends who have booked on the same cruise. My question is, will we be able to sit with our friends at dining time? Do we need to send in a request ahead of time to have a table together? How does it work exactly? We have 3 people and their group has 4. Thanks in advance for the info.

Arin~

You have to have your travel agent cross reference your bookings with your friends, and have them request a table for 8.
