Carnival Conquest vs. Royal Carribean Voyager ofthe Seas
We are planning our wedding and are trying to decide which one. Carnival has better $$ but have always heard bad things. Royal a bit more pricey but...reviews I have read are not as good as the ones for Carnival.
Sorry, Can't give you any advice on RCCL. But I can tell you, that I would book a cruise on the Conquest anytime.
If you can book your cruise when schools and colleges are in session, its alot better. Also avoid the week of spring breaks. :o
Which ever ship you pick, I'm sure it will be wonderful.
Happy Sailing to all;
David

Haven't been on either ship, I am a fan of both Carnival and RCCL..both have ups and drawbacks. I did however have a wedding on Carinval and it was an awesome experience. No matter which cruiseline you choose, a wedding at sea is the way to go.

What a tough choice! I live near Galveston, so I had to decide which ship I would sail on for my next cruise. I chose Voyager, since Conquest is always available and Voyager will be new (and uncertain as to how long) she will be sailing from the port of Galveston. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Good luck.

I've cruised on both ships and nothing can compare to a Voyager class ship. I absolutely loved the Voyager. But, to try to compare, it's like apples and grapes, totally different.
Voyager class ships have the great promenade tht runs the length of the ship with stores and restaurants and pubs on both sides just like a street. Tables and chairs out front, it's like a street scene. Check out the Voyager webcam, it's pointed down the promenade.
If I were to choose, I would go with the Voyager. It's quite an experience and you won't be disappointed.

If you like to have a lot of fun on your honeymoon-Carnival, if you want to lay back and just relax - Royal Caribbean, I thought Royal was boring, the ship seems to shut down by 2:00am, and I mean shut down, where as carnival you can party until the sun comes up. Good Luck and congrats on your wedding.
We were on the Mariner in the fall which is the same class ship as the voyager. It has a beautiful wedding chappel on the upper deck which I don't think the carnival ship has?? I thought the food was better on RCCL and service in the dining was better too. Cabin was bigger on Carnival. Voyager has a beautiful pool for adults only with 2 large hottubs. The promanade is wonderful and they even have parades up it. Carnival has food available all day long where we felt it was hard to find food at times on RCCL.
Don't know if you have booked your cruise yet, but I go on a cruise every year sence 1995. I started out with Carnival and have not been able to try any other liners. I figured if the cruises was above and beyond why try change. I can tell you you will love the Carnival cruises. Allot of things do get said about Carnival that are bad inwhich I for one have never ever has a bad cruise. I am getting married the 26th of Feb 07 and in July we are going on the Carnival Conquest for a 7 day western carr. I would say to research ahead no matter which you take. Find out everything like when the doors open to start loading, parking things like that ad plan on going at least 45 minutes early. One last thing, if you fly do not fly the same day, bad things can happen like delays, many have missed or almost missed the cruise, go the night before. Good luck if you have any questions feel free to email me at : jerry.a.webster@us.army.mil
We cruised on the Voyager last November and we all loved it - our group included kids as well as older adults. We especially loved the sports deck and found the food to be much better than other RCCL ships. Good luck!
