Default Carnival Supplied CD movie

Don't get fooled on the ship supplied CD they sell on the Carnival Ships! Our over all experience with Carnival has been great. But I do feel a little deceived on the CD.

While you are on the cruise, you can turn on your TV and watch what is suppose to be on the CD for you to purchase. We where on a lot! So we decided to buy one. Once we got home, only about half of what we saw in our rooms was on the CD!!!!

If you didn't bring your CamCorder, then the ship CD is "OK", just don't think that everything you see on your TV is really on the CD!!!

I am surprised at this. We always buy the CD's and have never had this kind of problem. I think your ship might be to blame. Sorry this happened to you.

I was a little disappointed by this, too. My daughter and I participated in the talent show, which was shown on the ship TV, but it wasn't on the DVD! We coerced, I mean "persuaded" my son to be in the Hairy Chest contest and that made it onto the DVD.

No problems from here either.

I participated in the Art Auction the first time they had it (and enjoyed several glasses of champagne for free) and they were auctioning other things instead of art to get us pumped up for the upcoming art auction later in the cruise.

They auctioned a watch, golf pro lessons, a ship dvd and something else I cannot remember.

I won the first item which was the DVD for only $14.00, however at the end of the Auction, the Auctioneer said that we, the winners, would get the items free for being the first people to bid and win and for getting the auction process started.

So I lucked out and got mine free!

Well, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. We are cruising with them APRIL 2007. I will buy the CD one more time and see what happens. We will look at what's on TV in the rooms, and then see what shows up on the disk. I will then post here what we find out for the second time.

Let me make something clear. The CD is of good quality. It is a nice CD. And if you do not want to carry a CD recorder around etc. then get the CD. All I am saying, ours did not have half of what they where showing in our rooms that was suppose to be on the CD.

We have found the CD useful in showing others what goes on on a Cruise etc. It helped some friends, who are now going with us this time, to make up their minds to go!

I believe on our past Carnival cruises that there was more than once DVD to purchase. The talent show was a separate DVD. Two years ago my daughter was in the American Idol show on the ship and that was not on the regular DVD. Apparently, that was another one and just as much money. Luckily a family member had videotaped her so we have it to keep for free!!!

They did offer another, however it was the shore excursions. I don't remember them offering one of the talent show by itself. I suppose I could email someone at Carnival. I just don't know who that would be!
