Default laptop

has anyone brought their laptop and if so, did you lock it up with a cable or put it in the safe (does it fit?) I would only use mine for writing purposes while my son is busy with other teens on the lido deck, or for downloading digital photos. Not sure if it's worth the risk of it being stolen.

I read somewhere that they have safety deposit style boxes you can check out with out a fee. I am not sure how big they are though

Two others that posted a similiar question on other ships said while they did bring their laptops, they became too busy with the ship activities. They actually wound up not using their laptops the entire trip.

we have brought our laptop, they will not fit in safe. But it has never gotten stolen either. (knoch on wood!!) The internet is pretty pricey. But it is nice to down load pictures, so we can free up space for more pictures!

I brought my laptop and used it a lot in my cabin during the cruise to keep up to date with my business. Nothing critical that I couldn't have done in the internet cafe. I didn't lock it up nor feel the need to do so. Felt the cabins were safe enough as it would be in any hotel room. Am travelling again in March and plan to leave it at home this time. More cocktails, less email!
