Default Easiest way to combine sights and beach in St. Thomas

We want to see the key attractions in St. Thomas but still spend the majority of our time at Magen's Bay. What is the easiest/cheapest way to do this? There will be anywhere from 2 to 5 of us. And what are the costs involved? Also, where can we rent snorkelling equipment?

Easiest way to combine sights and beach in St. Thomas

One excursion good for this is the 5 Star St. John and Trunk Bay. You cruise to St. John aboard an old oyster boat and the scenery is drop dead gorgeous. All the stars houses are pointed out. When you arrive at Trunk Bay beach, you can swim/snorkel (gear furnished) the reef or they'll take you ashore to the beach in dingys. On the way back to St. Thomas they break out the free rum punch and hold a limbo contest. We booked early and still had time to take the skyride and see the other sites in St. Thomas. But, doesn't include Megan's Bay.
