High Tea

Do they have High Tea every afternoon on the ship? What should I expect? Please tell me they serve quality tea not just Lipton *yuck*. Thanks Carla

I went to High tea on the Destiny. Very nice. They have a lovely wooden box with very nice flavored teas.. (like Earl Grey, Lady Grey.. etc) They serve you with china and they have desserts you can sample with your teas. I loved it.

Shorts and slacks. Its not a dress up thing unless you want it to be. They usually do this on days at sea.

My 12 year old daughter loved it! She felt like a princess! We dressed in Sunday best, but I think we will do casual (sundress or dress slacks and top) next time.

I've never seen anything about "High Tea" on any of our Carnival cruises....I wonder where I was??

I only need one question answered to know if I should bother looking out for these in the future:

Do they have scones and Devonshire clotted cream at these teas?

I know they had scones but not sure about the Devonshire clotted cream .

Carnival Cruise Lines--A traditional afternoon tea is offered, usually between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m., whenever this mass-market line's ships are at sea. The location varies from ship to ship, with many of the teas taking place in the vessels' piano bars; on the Carnival Triumph, for instance, it's in the classy Oxford Bar. Wait staff serves such treats as fruit tartlets, cheese puff pastries, cookies, and cheese crumble, as well as a selection of tea (including herbal) and coffee.
