We always notify the casino host a week or so before sailing. In the past they have decorated our cabin with the Bon Voyage stuff and also have left gift baskets of fruits, nuts, cheese etc. The casino manager has bought us drinks, and we have received a tote bag with OPC shirts, hats, playing cards (carnival logo type items). I think last time we got a $100 casino credit. It's not the same kind of perks as land based casinos, but it makes it fun. My husband enjoys wearing his OPC shirt even if we are at a casino in Nevada.
The casino host on one of our recent cruises, sent us an email after the cruise which was nice. We are not big-time gamblers. It's just part of our entertainment.
If you are going to be in the casino, it doesn't hurt to let them know.
just wondering, i've sailed with carnival 7 times, donated much too much, been given t shirts after winning jackpots on the slots and redonating the winnings. how do i or did i join the club?
Do you use your sign and sail card in the machine?....that keeps track of your points. Just go to the cashier's window and sign up for the Ocean Player's Club if you haven't already done it. Usually they come around with forms to fill out if you're sitting at one of the slot machines.
