Triumph (or Destiny?) -- pools and spas/whirlpools
I'm about to book the Triumph in April (yes, vacation week with 2 kids) and my (senior) mother is coming. We are wondering about the pool(s) on board and she is wondering about the spas or hot tubs. We saw "whirlpool" listed but can't seem to find much other information on this. With 3,000 on board, it seems like we might not be able to enjoy whatever they have -- thoughts or advice?
Also we have 3 days at sea in our itinerary... is the trick here not to get our hopes up?
There are whirlpools, 7 of them I believe. There are "adult only" whirlpools in the back of the ship. (technically I think they are all supposed to be adult only- but you will see kids in them too). The whirlpools in the back of the ship (Aft Lido deck) are much hotter than the ones located on the main lido pool deck area. There are also whirlpools in the Gym / spa area.

That's a fact! Personally, I prefer the whirlpool in the gym/spa and use the sauna and steam room while I'm there. Just turn in your sail-n-sign at the desk and they'll give you a locker key. Towels, sinks, showers are all inside N/C.
Thank you all so much for this excellent information. It sounds like my mom will have plenty to choose from and should be fine once she figures out which spa(s) suit her best. But it is very helpful (and reassuring) to have an idea of what to expect and where to look. I've heard that the worst thing for a first-time cruiser is that just about the time when you start getting the hang of things, it's time to go home. So we're trying our best to learn what we can ahead of time.
Our cruise is 4/14 - 4/21, but I'll check out the "meet on board" list. My mother is "recently" widowed (3+ years now), and it might be nice to know there are some friendly people cruising with us!
