How do excursions work? Are you stuck there all day?

How many times per day is there transportation back to the ship if you're out on an excursion or visiting land? How about if you want to leave the ship like mid-day and not so early? Is there different times you can leave and come back?

You can come and go as many times as you want while the ship is in port. The length of the tours are posted with the tour information. You can view them on Carnival's website. There are cabs everywhere should you want or need one. If you want to leave the ship and aren't in a hurry, it will be less crowded to leave about an hour or so after the ship docks. Everyone who is on a scheduled tour and those wanting to spend every minute in the port will all be trying to be the first ones off. If we don't have an early tour booked, we use that time to go eat breakfast and then proceed to the gangway when the crowd had died down some.

If you are docked you can come and go as you please. If the ship is anchored and there are tenders running, they usually run about once every 30 minutes.

Just be sure to be back onboard at least 30 minutes before sailing time. When you leave the ship check the "ship time clock". Ignore any clocks you see ashore!

As AKcruiser said, if you're not in a hurry let everyone else get off first! Eating breakfast or just relaxing is much better than standing in line.
