Default VIP boarding for 2, but 5 of us have regular rooms?

We have 2 people in a CAT12 room who get VIP boarding.

The other 7 of us have 3 regular rooms.

When we all get to the port of Tampa at the same time (from Sarasota).

How can we all have lunch the first day?

Mom and Dad will be on the ship in 15 minutes with VIP boarding and the rest of us will be in line for a long time???

Help Thanks

My DH and I travelled with a group of 10 in February in August. We had VIP boarding with our Platinum status - but the other 8 didn't. We arranged to meet everyone on the Lido deck in the buffet area. They were only about 20 minutes behind us, so we were still able to eat lunch together. We enjoyed our first cool drink while we waited.
If you don't think that will work for your group, the VIP folks can board with everyone else, if they don't mind standing in line a bit longer

Is there a best time to get to the port?

Last time they told us not to show-up too early.... we went 30 minutes early anyway...and the line was over 90 minutes long.

We always get to the port around 11:00. We usually are on board by 12 noon .Most of the time the halls to the rooms are shut off till 1:30 - so we drag our carryons with us to the Lido deck, have a leisurely lunch , then wander to our rooms . They are often ready shortly after 1:00 - so its good to check before 1:30
