Default Need help with embarkation city for Bahamas

I posted this in the destinations area, but since we will be sailing with Carnival, I will post this here, too.

We are looking at a four-day crusie to the Bahamas, and I'm looking for the pros and cons of leaving out of Cape Canaveral vs. Jacksonville--is the cost of flying to one usually more than the other--the ease of getting to the port in Jacksonville versus the drive to Cape Canaveral from Orlando, hotel prices, port shuttles, that sort of thing. Also, pros and cons of the Sensation versus I think it's the Celebration that leaves from Jacksonville.

Any help and thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Never sailed out of J'ville, but Port Canaveral has GREAT facilities and Sensation is a GREAT ship. Afraid I'm not a big fan of the Bahamas. Have you looked at the 4-5 days outta Tampa or Miami? Depending on time of year you cruise, I'd say Canaveral would also be a little warmer than J'ville giving you more deck time.
