Default 1st Things 1st!

We just confirmed our booking on the Carnival Valor for August out of Miami. 2 Adults 4 Teens ages 15/15, 17, 18.

We cruised once as a couple about 30 years ago so we are essentially newbies, but we are savvy and experienced travlers (at least we like to think so). Have seen lots of interesting posts so we know about the fun pass in advance etc. I have also seen some people talk about getting tables assigned for the dining room etc once they are on board.

So here's my question. What are the first three 'housekeeping' chores you would take care of as soon as you got settled on board? We plan to get on board early if we can.

Thanks for the help
Hakmat

Dump your stuff in the room., Chances are your suitcases will not have arrived yet. Put on some comfy clothes and head up to the Lido deck for some lunch. Your table will already be assigned but you traveling with a group and get split up. Go get it rearranged right away. Kick back and relax. When your bags do show up, you can hang things up. Really.. thats just about it.

Do what the ladies above have suggested, but as far as housekeeping, check to see if the info is in your room about things like excursions, things you ordered. It should be on the desk in your cabin. If you ordered an excursion and the tickets have not arrived by the time you board, this would be a great time to go and check on them, before the ship fills up.

Don't forget the "sail away party" on the Lido deck. Oh, find your "muster" station so you know where to go when that is called. Directions and instructions are on inside of closet door I believe.

change into your flip flops, order a strong drink and laugh gently to yourself about all the saps you left behind back home.

and later on order another drink, get into your shower, close the curtain and chant to yourself "I'm invisable I'm invisable" until the muster station drill is over.

Good luck with that My envy makes me punchy. Have a great time!

"foo foo drink of the day"! I'm liking the sound of this cruise already!

You can also go to the dining rooma and check out our dining tables, make sure it works for you. If there is a problem, then would be the time to get it fixed.

Default good table?

Are they any tables that are better than others? Any that should be avoided.
Thanks

I prefer the ones close to the front entrance of the dining room. That way, I don't have to walk so far.
