Inspiration: anyone recently sailed?

Going (hopefully) on the Inspiration in May for a short cruise - any tips anyone wants to share, i.e., best quiet spot, best slot machine

; any bartenders or servers or other personnel that gave great service, etc...

Just got off the inspiration last week. You will love it.

The carnival shows were ok, nothing special. The comedians on the other hand were pretty good

Our favorite part of the cruise was the social host Phillipa (sp?). He made the cruise a riot!!

Food was excellent. I had a different type of fish every night and it they were all cooked perfectly. Our waiter Denton was amazing!! A waiter and a wealth of information.

If you want to play bingo wait until the last night out when the card counts for 7 games instead of just one.

great bingo tip; I usually play so I will wait for last night -
I will also skip the production shows - waiting for some new ones - but I try to catch all the comedians and contestant shows.
Did they have Karoake and in which lounge?

I usually don't book the shorter cruises, but looks like another family get together aboard the Inspiration, so away we go. I've been aboard her before, and always have a great time, so no doubt we'll enjoy this July cruise as well.

I am going with a group so I didn't get to pick date, ship or anything this time - had my eye on another cruise - but you can bet I will still have a great time..

I’m going on the Inspiration for 4 days May 31 with some friends following a cruse on the Carnival Valor on May 20. Can’t wait.

We were going to do the 4 day on the 31st but the other couple had to go the earlier week. So I will tell everyone that you will be on board; reserve a pool chair for ya

Thanks, sometimes getting a chair by the pool is the hardest thing to do. This cruise will be my ninth Carnival cruise so the next one following this I will get Platinum status. That will be really nice.

this cruise will put me at the 1/2 way mark for Platinum: but I am not loyal to just Carnival as I like RC too. So whatever ship, port and dates work for our schedule is what I book. I would like to do the Mariner of the Seas next or Carnival's Valor, LIberty or one of the big ones...

The Inspiration..what can you say the ship never ages...the promenade is amazing and the atrium at night..well the colors fade in ana out..its incredible...I would sail on her anytime!

The best bartenders are Joann and Bagus in the Lobby bar.

Nicholas is the best casino dealer (had a lot of fun at this tables).

thanks guys, fading colors hmmmm funny I never noticed that on the sister ships, Imagination and Fascination, wonder if it is only on Inspiration.

I didnt notice the changing colors at first but if you stand there long enough it goes from one solid color to another solid color. Its quite stunning!

We just returned from the 8 night cruise aboard "Liberty", and most of the fixtures in the atrium and a lot of the public areas also change colors. It's really cool, and quite beautiful. We've sailed the sister ships to "Liberty, ie: Glory, and Valor, and of the three, Liberty is far and away the most beautiful. It was a great cruise.

P.S. to msblackjack. You'll like the karaoke aboard the "Mariner". They have a good room for it, and they put on a contest called "Mariner Idol" or something like that. The final for that is held in the ice rink area, with a cover over the ice, of course. It's lots of fun!

You dont need a married certificate, all you need is birth certificates and your driver lic. and make sure you print out your fun pass.

The ladies should take their marriage certificate if the last name changed when they were married; I take mine and they do look at it each time.

they even gave my mom a hard time because her birth cert doesn't match her id; we did take her marriage cert and they asked for it and we were sweating bullets because we didn't have a certified copy of her marriage cert only her divorce cert.

Yes I ordered from them! It looks like it will get here before DH's birth certificate,that is what is really getting me nervous! I got rush airmail once it's processed but you know how those people can be at vital statistics

wow this is your first cruise - sort of just noticed that fact - of course you are going to worry about EVERYTHING, but soon as your feet hit the deck of that ship - woosh all worries gone! amazing how stressfree a cruise can be - just don't get to wrapped up in trying to do everything, but make time to really just relax; our first cruise we tried to do everything and we missed the opportunity to really just enjoy being out in the open and on the water..... first instance you don' t have to do every "production" show; do one, and save another night for havign some quiet drinks out on the deck under the stars...
