Conquest Cabin Question

Hi All,

My family and I are booked on the Conquest in a balcony cabin up on the Panorama Deck for a July 29th Cruise. My wife and I have both cruised and never had a sea sickness problem, but it will be our 6 year old daughters first cruise. I am a little worried about sea sickness for her. Does anyone have any expereince with the Conquest or her sister ships regarding the motion level at this height and at the front of the ship. Any advise would be appreciated.

I've been on the Conquest 3 times before and I believe that it's like every other ship. If you have a room in the front or the back, you are more prone to feel the movement of the ship. However, in July, the seas should be calm and that shouldn't be a problem.

We had a great time on the Conquest. The dining room had wonderful food and staff. The casino was friendly....if not profitable alas......The only area I didn't care for was the buffet....just didn't like the food. We ended up eating at the hamburger place and pizza place....that was excellent.

I doubt that you will feel anything as far as motion sickness, However, BEWARE, they serve alc to minors on this ship!

Each person reacts differently, so go prepared. There are plenty of over the counter meds, but be sure to check for her age group. I have cruised in July on the Conquest, and the waves were at times a little rough, but she probably will do better than an adult.

They always seem to surprise us, don't they? Does she get car sick? That is a lot of times a good indicator. Remember lots of fresh air is good for her.

P.S. I hope the warning from the poster above was kidding about the alcohol. I think we can safely say that your 6 year old will not be served booze.

Hopefully so, although, a boy who looks 12 was considereds to be 40? I was not kidding, this happened just this month on the Conquest. They refunded all the liquor charges, however, I am not comfortable with that.
This is VERY SERIOUS and ALARMING to most people!!

I don't know anything about this so called 12 year old, but the OP was talking about a 6 year old. She probably can't even reach the bar, much less sit there and ask for a Tom Collins, with a twist.

True, she probably can't. Even more so, a 6 year old would be watched 24/7. However, it still doesn't lessen the fact that the Carnival Conquest sells and serves liquor to minors, does it? Just thought this person would want to know this does happen. If this can happen to a child what else may happen???
