Default Glory Review - 3/17 - 3/24

We just got off the Glory March 24th and was our 2nd cruise and we again have no complaints with Carnival. Service was excellent, very polite staff that cater to your every need. Go visit Alexandru in the Kaliedascope Bar (casino bar) and have him say "Raspberry" for you - very cute and makes a great drink. Also Weeeeeee Jimmy is awesome and hilarious! Boat was very rocky due to rough waves but we still really enjoyed our cruise. I HIGHLY recommend you try the Emerald Club Supper - worth every penny and alot more!!!! If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

PS - if you have a balcony - prop door open to hear ocean at night - I really miss that hearing that now

Well it started off with a delay with our flight due to East coast snow storm, went to Port Canavaral - stayed at Country Inn & Suites - very nice place - was about $89/night. Took shuttle to port ($3/pp) - getting through lines were easy - we were on ship by 12:30 eating in Red Sail restaurant. We had a balcony room on Panarama deck (10) - I will definately stick with the balcony rooms - worth the extra dollar. Adult comedy show was very, very funny - it's a must see. We didn't really care for Nassau, should've went to Paradise Island. In St. Thomas we parasailed - that was great. In St Maarten we did Golden Eagle - what a blast (do not take kids on this excursion - we saw nudity and alot of drinking) Days at sea were rough - had very windy weather so we stayed in clubs or casinos. Loved the Burgendy Bar (martinis) and Kaleidascope Bar (casino). A cruise is what you make of it - I hear people complain alot about kids, etc. They didn't really bother us much at all. Hope this helps alittle. After cruise we took Ace Luxury shuttle to Orlando and stayed at Crowne Plaza - very nice hotel - relaxed at pool - was very much needed after the cruise.

Isn't it funny how you need a rest period after a cruise? Your tired, but it's a good tired.

What cabin on the Panorma deck did you have and what did you think of the location? I'll be cruising on the Glory in December with some friends and family, and a few of us have balcony cabins on deck 10.

Glory is my favorite ship so far. Been on it twice both times on the Panorama deck. Last time stayed in 1065 a balcony room which was very quiet. I had a great time and the Cruise Director "WEE JIMMY" is my favorite. He will be on Glory until June 23rd then he goes on vacation. I think he is coming back in Sept or August but not really sure. Love St. Marten port day. Thanks for your review.

We sail on the Glory in 12 days. How were the shows? Did you do the R rates show? How was it if so. Also, did you see anyone carrying pop on board?
Thanks,

We only did the boardway show which was the same from last October. It was nice, I really the man singer name Eddie better than the lady just do not remember her name. I saw the middle of the Carnival Legends show, this is where the guest perform as Garth Brooks, Gloria Estaban, Brittany Spears, Madonna. It was fun especially when you see who plays Dolly Parton (our loveable funny scottish Cruise Director Wee Jimmy). this legend show is the only one that you tape and I have a tape but need to put it on regular dvds. Did go to the R rated shows but only stayed the whole show when the comedian was Happy Cole he was great. We were one of the early boarders got there around 1030 so i did not see any one bringing pop on board. Also if you have the platnium dinning room GOOD LUCK FINDING IT!! I only went there once on the first Glory and it took me about 30 to 45 minutes trying to find it. You had to go about 2 decks up then go to the other end of the ship to go down stairs to the dinning room. I am glad we had the Golden dinning room which is to the left when you board the boat. Also Deck 5 and deck 9 are the only two decks that you can get to the front of the ship to the back. Also these are the two decks with the most activities. I encourage you to try the trivia games because they were fun and you might win a ship on a stick. I have two. If there is any questions email me at unicornwriter24@yahoo.com.

I believe it was about $89.00/pp. Your only up in air about 5 - 6 minutes - rest of time you are on boat while others parasail. We did tandem (only way I'd go up) It was fantastic!! For $20.00 they will take a roll of pictures with zoom and you can get them developed when you get home - they give you email address and phone number for full refund if they don't turn out.

Tandem is 2 people going side by side together. Yes we booked it through Carnival (I'm too leary to go through anyone else yet) after a few cruises I may venture to a tour company, but right now I'm guaranteed to get back on the boat.
