Default Arrival time at Galveston pier

Hello All,

We set sail April 8th on the Conquest. I have never cruised from Galveston before or on Carnival (3 with RCI, 1 Disney). I think we will be parking at EZ park. What time should we arrive at the pier?

For the Conquest, at a minimum two hours before sail, maximum three hours.

We boarded two Sundays ago (March 18th) on the Conquest at 1230pm.

We were VIP so we skipped the longgggg lines. It will take awhile to finally reach the ship if you don't get in line early!

Have a GREAT trip and don't forget to eat some run cakes!!!!!

I'm not sure that I am VIP, but I will have my info completed online with Carnival (Fun Pass), does that help with regard to the long lines?

Do you have a suite booked? If so, then you will be VIP.

Since you haven't sailed with Carnival before you won't have the past guest as your VIP. But you will after this cruise!

We love the VIP, HATE long lines!!!!

I would not go any earlier than 12:30. If you are not careful, you will get there before the other passengers have had a chance to clear from their cruise.

Definitely give yourself at least 3hrs.

By the way your screen name is cute, it reminds me of a poster on my WW boards! She has the same name but without the number.

I was on last month and we got there around 12:30. Plenty of people ahead of us. They were really organized and they handled the crowds great.

I hope NY is as organized when I go in July. If I went out of Galveston again I would probably get there by noon.

You will have a blast.

We drove to Galveston from Mississippi, parked in the EZ-Parking (free shuttle) & got in line at 2:30 (very short line, not more than 10 folks)... Was on very fast... You still have time to get a snack before the lifeboat drill & normally able to get into your room for a power nap (for old farts)... You might consider a later boarding time to avoid the LOOOONG lines unless you enjoy chatting with folks that have an attitude problem
