Default Bottom fishing in Freeport?

My teenage son wants to go bottom fishing in Freeport - my question is, if you catch anything, what do you do with it? Are you given a cooler to bring it back to the ship with? If it's edible, can you have the ship's chef cook it up for you that night? Or, is it just "catch and release?" We're torn between that excursion and the glass bottom boat.

From what I know...you cannot take any kind of animals living or dead back onto the boat...so Iam pretty sure its catch and release.
