I would like to take my mom & sister on a surprise cruise for mother's day. The problem is she has cpod and must be on oxygen 24/7. She has a unit that plugs in to make oxygen and a small portable tank. Have any of you had experience with this. Is it do-able? Thanks for your help
Susan

One both of my past cruises we saw people with oxygen tanks. It shouldnt be a problem but as pp said call carnival and they will definitely help you with any questions!
Yes, in fact you MUST call Carnival to make arrangements to have oxygen aboard. I don't think it's a big deal, but since oxygen is considered hazardous, you have to notify them that you need it, so that it can be brought aboard.
Call Carnival. They do allow it, but at an added fee. My MIL was told that she would have to pay an extra $500 to bring her O2.

I see that you are in Arizona...assuming your mother is located with you, you might actually have a bigger problem with the airlines than with the cruise ship...I know many of them have extremely strict requirements about boarding with O2. So be sure you check...and double check...with both.
