Someone in our party is having a birthday during our cruise. I'm thinking about buying him something off of Carnival.com but I don't want him to receive it until his b-day. Can they do that? Should I wait until I get on the ship? I was also thinking about ordering a cake. Has anyone done that? How good is the cake?
I haven't used the service but I do plan on doing it for some friends that are going with us. When you order it through Carnival.com, you pick the day to deliver it on. I have heard that it is a great service.
I haven't tried the cake, but somebody did order chocolates and wine for me and had them delivered to my cabin on a specific date. They were great. I believe you need to order the gifts at least a week ahead of time. You can also order them over the phone which might help if you have questions about the delivery date.
The ordering deadline is good to know since I'm sure my brother won't even think about what gift he is going to get until around that time! lol In fact, I think I'll e-mail him and get him on the ball. What are sisters for after all? lol
ordered it from carnival.com and no problem , and delivered on time at dinner like i asked also very good cake it was only two of us and we didnt eat it all i got the small one so have at it its great [/list]
You can also order a cake from your waiter at dinner early in the cruise, and have them deliver it on a particular day. I did this for someone on the Holiday. However, you have to give them at least 24 hours notice. They will charge your sign and sail card for it.

I guess I just assumed it was chocolate. The person I'm ordering it for and I are huge chocolate fans. He could probably eat the small cake by himself! lol I'm think I'll get the one for 10 since that's how many are going and some of those don't eat chocolate very much.
