Default So what about late night activities

So as a first time cruiser, should I be more concerned about what to wear at the Formal Dinner or how to get bottles of booze on the boat, lol .

Just kidding. But you must admit that these 2 issues are a hot topics. At this point, with all of the great advice I've received from all I am just really excited.

I've been picking up all the little extras that I feel I might need but I guess my next question would be what about the night time events. What is a must do and what about the dress for late night shows and clubs??

Most people, even on formal night, change clothes to something more comfortable.

As for late night stuff. Disco, shows, gambling, shopping, people watching, spas, trying to do the do on the balcony rail, and falling off, only to be on the news the next morning.

So that's why everybodies falling off the boat, lol. How late do the clubs onboard stay open??

Also, do the shows change every night?? If you miss one can you catch it on another night. And also, what is one thing that I should make sure to do and/or not miss??

I know it might be impossible, but I want to be a part of everything.

I belive most stay open until around 2 or 3. The shows to change every night. There are two main shows a day. They are the same. It is impossible to get everyone into the show, so they have two.

Please don't try to do everything. It is not possible, and you will be dog tired.

And there is always the midnite buffet, sometimes the ship will have a late night bbq on a late departure (mostly in the Bahamas), and some of the discos are open late. And there is the casino !

How late the bars and disco stay open can vary quite a bit. It depends on the number of people still partying. I’ve seen the disco going to 4 AM on some ships and nothing happening around 2 am on others.

If the club does close, who ever is left tend to go to the top decks just to hang out. There has been many times that I am still awake when my Dad gets up in the morning and we drink some juice and enjoy the sunrise. lol

There is usually an R-rated comedy show later at night. This trip I'm making it a point to go on deck at night and see how it is. I never seem to remember to watch a sunset or look at stars so I'm trying to do it this time.

Liz and I noticed late one nite, while in the aft hot tub enjoying a bottle of champagne we won onboard, that there seemed to be a pattern to the blinking white lights that run around the ship/funnel.

Or maybe it was just the champagne....

The late night on ships is great. That's when the people enjoying their cruise REALLY come out. 8)

Michael,

What do you think the HIH crew would suggest for late night activities?
