Default Price Increases?

The price of our cruise has increased since we booked ($569 to $699pp). We have paid our deposit, but have not made the final payment yet.

I've heard that until you make the final payment that you will be charged the additional to make up for the price increase. I've also heard others say that once you placed the deposit that your price is secured at that price.

Can someone verify which is correct?

I've heard of getting money back from decrease but never having to pay more if the price went up. As far as I know.. if you get in at a low price and it goes higher... you do a little happy dance that you didn't have to pay it.

Once you make a deposit on your cruise your price is considered "Locked in", regardless if the price of the cruise goes up or not. If I were you I would notify carnival and discuss this with them. Good Luck!

if you paid the appropriate deposit and paid it timely, your price will NOT increase; however, do not let your next payment be late - as they could raise the rates.

in the meantime, watch the rates and if they decrease try to get a credit.
